Alex Marquez has no plans to leave Gresini and is focused on his world championship challenge, saying his priority is "to fight Marc" and win a sibling rivalry.
The Marquez siblings sat down with TNT Sports ahead of the action at Grand Prix Great Britain, with the two heading the current leaderboard.
Marc, a former world champion, is 22 points clear of his younger brother, and the lead has been swapped twice between the two already this season.
Marc left Gresini, where he was stablemates with Alex, in the summer to join Ducati Lenovo, and he has emerged as the most effective rider so far, often beating his new colleague and another former world champion, Francesco Bagnaia.
Both of the siblings have impressed so far this season, and the action started with a 1-2 in the season opener at Grand Prix Thailand, as Marc won his first race of the season.
Marc told TNT Sports that they had now grown accustomed to sharing the spoils throughout the season, but acknowledged it was a unique situation.

He said of the first race: "That moment was amazing, it was like a dream. But now it has become normal, but it’s not normal. We are brothers who are fighting for the world championship of MotoGP.
"We are first and second, and we are already in the seventh race. If it was the second or third race you’d say, 'OK, it’s the start of the season, but now we are on the seventh'."
He added that their burgeoning rivalry had not diminished the affection they have for one another. Instead, it has strengthened it.
"It’s not normal, but we are enjoying [it]," Marc added. "When you have this kind of situation, you have two options in the relationship: be tighter than ever, or be far [apart].
"Now we are tighter than ever, because we know I can help him, and he can help me, and we want the best for each other."
At the recent Grand Prix Spain, in Jerez, Alex finally landed his first MotoGP win, and he explained just how much the success meant to him.

He said: "On that day, I enjoyed it a lot because it was an amazing moment to see all the people really happy for [me]. That was the thing that made me most proud and happy about the victory.
His brother said that while he had suffered a rare crash that day, the setback hurt most of all because it meant the pair did not share the podium ceremony on the day of his brother’s first win.
"Of course, that day was sad because I crashed," he admitted. "But I felt even worse because it was his first victory, and I would have liked to have been on the podium - first, second."
With his brother thriving at a factory team, Alex remains at Gresini, a satellite for Ducati, but he said that his focus remains on what he can do right now, rather than eyeing up potentially better bikes and bigger teams. He is keeping his eye on his two main rivals, Francesco Bagnaia and his brother.
Alex said: "Next year, it’s Gresini. This is my plan. The situation that I’m living, for me, it’s new. I want to enjoy this situation, and not think about the future. We’ll see how it will be.
"I know if I’m in this situation when the new contracts arrive, I will be in a really good situation, and see what is the best opportunity for me. At the moment, I want to enjoy the moment.
"I want to fight with Marc, with Pecco, with other top riders, and I know I still have many things to learn and many things to improve. I’m just thinking about that."
Marc concluded by saying that he hopes the season's end comes with both of them still in the hunt for glory.
He suggested, "If we can arrive in the last part of the championship in that situation, but not the last race!
"Let’s see, enjoy it and if we can both be in the last ceremony of the year - the top three riders - it will be a very good thing."
Grand Prix Great Britain action begins on Saturday, live on TNT Sports and discovery+, for the weekend’s Sprint Race, while the full-length race is on Sunday.
