Addis Ababa: Morocco's Active Solidarity with African Countries in Political Transition Reiterated b

MOROCCO, April 27 - Morocco remains firmly committed to the principle of active solidarity in order to accompany African countries in their political transition process towards constitutional order, said, Wednesday in Addis Ababa, the Ambassador Permanent Representative of the Kingdom to the African Union (AU) and the UNECA, Mohamed Arrouchi.

The Moroccan diplomat, who was speaking at an informal meeting between the AU Peace and Security Council (PSC) and four countries of the continent in political transition, including Burkina Faso, Guinea, Mali and Sudan, stressed the need not to leave these brotherly African countries isolated in times of crisis as part of a spirit of solidarity and benevolence.

Arrouchi added that in order to see these transitional processes succeed, security, socio-economic and humanitarian support should be provided to these brotherly African countries so that they can resume their place in the AU membership as soon as possible.

In this regard, the Permanent Representative of the Kingdom recalled the relevance of the multidimensional approach (Nexus Peace, Security and Development), as advocated in the Tangier Declaration, in supporting countries in transition on the continent.
